“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land”. This is a very popular Scripture many pastors often preach. They say that Christians need to repent of sin and turn back to the Lord so that He will bless His church and of course America. But are these words directed to Christians and specifically American Christians? These words were spoken to Solomon, king of Israel. So, likewise the land referred to was the land of Israel. Can Christians around the world benefit from the Scripture? Of course. II Timothy 3:16 says, “all Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching for reproof for correction for training in righteousness”. But we have to rightly divide the scriptures. When you read, ask: who is talking – who is He talking to – what is the context of the message? Sometimes you may need to read the preceding verses or even chapters to fully understand this. Finally, pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal how the words apply to you.
So then, is America Israel? No! Of course the precepts laws and some of the promises can be applied to Christians today. However, there were certain promises that only apply to the children of Israel as a result of their function or their role in the earth. The replacement theology that says Christians replaced the children of Israel is incomplete error. The church has not replaced Israel. How do we know that this doctrine is false? There are several things we can look at. The Bible says that the promises of the Covenant made to Israel are eternal – meaning they’re unbreakable. Then there are prophecies that talk about the future permanent restoration of the nation of Israel. You need to do some studying on the Day of the Lord because this is when the Kinsman Redeemer – The Messiah – comes back to judge the nations concerning the treatment of His people and the dividing of His land. Then the New Testament talks about the restoration of Israel. Why would they need to be restored if everybody is now the true Israel? Nowhere in the entire new testament is the term Israel used for those who are not ethnic children of Israel. Therefore, no Bible basis exists for identifying the church as the new Israel – makes you wonder if this theology really isn’t rooted in pride (that’s food for thought there). Lastly, if The Most High breaks His covenant with Israel, then how can we trust Him to keep his promises to anyone else? We know this is not possible because it is impossible for Him to lie; so this replacement theology, it’s a myth. It is not true. This verse of scripture (II Chronicles 7:14) this was specifically talking about Israel.
Now we need to examine when he says those who are called by My Name – well what is His Name? If the people don’t know that they are the ones called by His Name, how can they fulfill the requirements that’s being asked of them? They are told to do some specific things: they need to humble themselves, they need to pray, seek His face, turn from their wicked ways, then He will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land. Again, it’s talking about the land of Israel, so we need to know what is the name that they are called by. Let’s take a look at that. Many of you may remember the song Kumbaya. But what you didn’t know is that the slaves were actually praying as they were singing that song. They were using The Name, The True Name, of the Heavenly Father YAH. When they were saying Kumbaya, they were saying come by here my Lord and the name is YAH. This is referenced in Psalm 68:4 where it says, “sing to God, sing praises to His name, extol Him who rise on the clouds, by His name YAH (Yahweh) and rejoice before Him.’ This song survived through the centuries and we’re now learning – as we’re uncovering this information – that they were using the true name of the Heavenly Father. This is why they were not allowed to speak in their native language. They were separated, constantly sold off to different plantation owners because they were trying to prevent them from passing on the history. This is how we forgot our heritage – it’s how we forgot our native language. We’re also finding that the name YAH was in the names of a lot of the slaves as they’re going through the old records from the slave ships.
Yes, the Negroes, the Blacks, the so-called African-Americans, we are the ones called by His Name. The slave records show that they had the name YAH in their names when they were brought to this land. This is the reason they could not use their name – they forced them to change their names to European names. They were not allowed to learn to read because this was the plot of the enemy to strip their identities – to remove their heritage. But in these last days, knowledge is increasing and the truth is being uncovered. The DNA is now proving it. The books that are being found – the old books that had the truth about who we are – they’re being revealed and uncovered. We are the people who are called by His name. When we learn who we are and humble ourselves and pray, we need to seek His face and turn from our wicked ways, then He will hear from heaven. He will forgive us of our sin and heal our land.
